Community needs assessment

To better understand the needs of Twin Towers residents, NHP hosted five focus groups funded by FairHaven Church. Target audiences include individuals involved in New Hope Church, long-time Twin Towers residents, the African immigrant population in Twin Towers, and residents of the surrounding neighborhoods (St. Anne’s Hill, South Park, Walnut Hills and Linden Heights).

We used focus group data to create a community needs survey, through which 188 respondents rated 11 categories and 73 specific development ideas. We are interpreting the data collected to help us clarify the types of businesses or services that will best serve Twin Towers residents. Completion December 2024.

building assessment

A community partner, East End Community Services generously earmarked some of its ARPA money for an assessment of the building systems in the 500 block of Xenia Avenue (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). We now have up-to-date 3D scans of the property and cost estimates for necessary renovations. Completed December 2024.
